There are scams to beware of when trying to
deal
with a Canadian Internet Pharmacy... probably the most common scam to be vigilant of is;
when a Internet Pharmacy (that isn't even a Canadian Internet
Pharmacy) pretends to be, or fraudulently poses as a Canadian
Internet Pharmacy.
Unscrupulous Internet Operators have been known to
market themselves as Canadian Internet Pharmacies when they simply
are not... these scam artists often send thousands of junk/spam
email to potential customers... these emails are disguised to look
like they originate from Canadian web sites... however, the links
back to their web site make it difficult for the recipient to tell
where & who the originator really is... and even when you go to the scam web sites, some
of the scam artists go to elaborate lengths to make it very difficult for the
reader to tell where the web site truly originates from, as they employ a
confusing method of web site addressing which makes it difficult to
trace the identity/location of the web site operator.
The danger of purchasing product from these phony
pharmacies is pretty obvious; you don't know who your really dealing
with, and you don't know what your really purchasing... I
mean, if these scam artists are willing to fraudulently pose as a
Canadian Internet Pharmacy, they probably wouldn't be to adverse to
shipping you fraudulent product either.
Real Canadian Pharmacies are highly regulated by the
Canadian Government... the quality and regulation of the
products/industry is very high. In fact, I've been a Canadian
Citizen for almost 40 years, and the last time I remember a problem
with Canadian Pharmaceutical products was approx. 25 years ago when
someone was tampering with pill bottles... and shortly
thereafter ever since, companies have been required to make/distribute tamper
proof bottles... and I haven't seen any sort of a major quality
scandal since way back then... and that was about 25 years ago.
It is very important that you know exactly which
company you are purchasing from when purchasing your prescription
medication via the internet... I recommend taking a personal trip to
the Pharmacy you intend to do business with (even
if that means traveling long distance), then you can get to know
your Pharmacist, and then you can verify the web site information
you'll need at a later date.
The Canadian Government also publishes some helpful information
about working with Canadian Internet Pharmacies... which includes
information about potential scams. |
